In 1979 I saw a couple of old Dakotas on the airfield and took a few quick snaps. We did not recognise the name Ruskin Airlines that was enblazoned on the side of the aircraft but the following year we watched the planes and airport featured in the TV programme "Airline". |

By 1982 the DC3s were still in use by Atlantic Airlines who operated from
the airport.
The airline was primarily a freight airline, carrying cargoes on short-haul
flights within the UK. |
| When the public became interested in the vintage aircraft,
they started to run pleasure flights. |
